When should I use the app? And when should I call Emergency / Non- emergency Number?
A
Always use the app. If you are in a location that is not connected to the system you will be connected via a regular call.

How does the system know who to call?
A
The Application has a “choose agency” screen where you can select the emergency center that you want to report to (police, medical, fire department or local city agency) and the system will automatically connect you to the selected agency that is closest to you.

What happens at the center that receives the report?
A
When reporting: The agency dispatcher receives a live video from your mobile device, a voice call is starting with the dispatcher and your contact details and exact location are relayed.

How does the system know where am I?
A
There are two ways that Reporty can find your location: Outdoor environment: The system detects your location by GPS. Indoors: By cross-referencing public data communication networks.

Does the system replace emergency calls?
A
Yes. The system is connected directly to various emergency centers. In case the center you need is not connected to the system, you will be connected by a regular phone call.

Does Reporty use my personal information for other needs?
A
Absolutely not. We do not use your personal information for anything other than getting you the help you need.

Who can see my location?
A
Your location is not visible to anyone. User privacy is a leading value for us and we make sure to protect it. The only way that your location is exposed to other users is when you report an emergency. The location will be sent to the relevant command and control center that you choose to report to.

What happens to the video while waiting for the dispatcher to answer?
A
When you choose the agency that you want to report to, the video begins. In the command and control center it will wait on the incoming calls screen. As soon as an operator becomes available you will immediately be connected.

Does the use of the application make my battery drain faster?

No. Reporty is carefully designed not to deprive the battery which is a vital asset to mobile users.

How does Reporty protect user privacy?

Reporty user privacy is our paramount concern. We secure user’s data with the most advanced protocols for data protection available in the market.

What happens if I do not have cellular network?
A
If there is no network service, Reporty will check which available networks are connected (Wi-Fi, 3G, and 4G) and launch the call via that channel.

Is my GPS in use constantly?
A
No. Your GPS is only active when you report an event or when you will use one of our map features.

What happens if the GPS is not on?
A
If the GPS is not working then we cannot track your location in the outdoors.

In which countries can i use the app?

Reporty app is currently available in 160 countries worldwide.

Is it possible to broadcast to a number of agencies in tandem?
A
No. One center is responsible for every report. If necessary, the dispatcher that spoke with you will alert other relevant agencies.

What is the SMS policy?
A
We send SMS upon registering, to deliver you an authentication code. The frequency of  this SMS is according to your code requests only.
We might also be sending promotional SMS from which you can opt-out easily by following instructions in the text.
The SMS or phone call rate may apply according to your cellular provider.
